Bye bye, Lala.com.  Apple bought the site and is now shutting it down to protect their profits from the iTunes store. Pretty shitty, right?  Thanks a lot, Apple.  This isn’t going to prompt me to visit iTunes, it’s instead going to drive me to the next best thing – Grooveshark.  I’ve been using it for about a week now and can recommend it without hesitation – you can play any song you want, and even repeat them. I have yet to be nagged with any sign-up or pay-to-play screen. So far, so good!

Lala.com can be a great resource if you want to listen to a specific song. The problem is, they’ll only let you listen to it once unless you sign up or pay for their services.  That’s a little ridiculous, and there’s an easy way around it that’s completely free and easy.  This is along the same lines of my previous post, How to Bypass Lala.com’s Forced Registration.

First, you need to be sure you’re using Firefox.

We’ve all been there.  We’re listening to a song on Lala.com, click to play a new song, and bam!  A sign-up box appears and won’t let you listen to any more music until you create an account.
