This isn’t so much a how-to, as it is a tip for anyone running a website. One of the great things about open-source software such as Wordpress or Joomla, is that you can often find free plugins or themes for them. The danger here lies in hidden spam links (so-called “SEO” plugins are notorious for this) that are deep in the code – and unless you know where to look, you’re out of luck.

Lala.com can be a great resource if you want to listen to a specific song. The problem is, they’ll only let you listen to it once unless you sign up or pay for their services. That’s a little ridiculous, and there’s an easy way around it that’s completely free and easy. This is along the same lines of my previous post, How to Bypass Lala.com’s Forced Registration.

Firefox is the world’s best web browser. Part of what makes it so great is the ability to completely customize it with plugins and extensions, as well as themes. This little trick is not only useful, but it can also save you money. Pandora.com lets you listen to music and it will play the songs you like, learning from your likes and dislikes. I find it pretty ingenious, but the constant registration pop-ups are both annoying and frustrating.
