This isn’t so much a how-to, as it is a tip for anyone running a website.  One of the great things about open-source software such as Wordpress or Joomla, is that you can often find free plugins or themes for them. Holy cow, Batman! I’m so grateful I’m using WP Hashcash – I can’t imagine having to manually delete all the crap that comes through this blog.  In the 2 months I’ve had this blog running, I’ve received over 100 attempted spam comments. Luckily, WP Hashcash is able to catch them and prevent them from getting approved, without interfering with real commenters :)   I suppose spam is inevitable in this day and age, but even I was surprised at the speed in which those bots found my little site. :)
