I’ve decided to pimp out my web host Dreamhost, because they’re offering $97 off a 1-year hosting plan if you use the coupon STONESOLID. Normally, a 1-year hosting plan runs about $119, so you’re saving $97 off the cost if you use the coupon code when you sign up. Remember, Dreamhost offers unlimited bandwidth and disk space, plus a money back guarantee – pretty sweet

Bye bye, Lala.com. Apple bought the site and is now shutting it down to protect their profits from the iTunes store. Pretty shitty, right? Thanks a lot, Apple. This isn’t going to prompt me to visit iTunes, it’s instead going to drive me to the next best thing – Grooveshark. I’ve been using it for about a week now and can recommend it without hesitation – you can play any song you want, and even repeat them. I have yet to be nagged with any sign-up or pay-to-play screen. So far, so good!

Yesterday was the big day! I decided to take the Google Analytics IQ test and passed. The questions were pretty tough – 70 total, and they weren’t kidding when they said you should watch the Conversion University videos in preparation! The videos are invaluable and teach you almost everything you need to know, but you definitely need to have a working knowledge before you even attempt this exam.

I’m sure every P2P user has asked themselves this question, especially with the Pirate Bay and Mininova fading out of existence. You can still find files there, but it’s just not what it used to be. So where can you go? There are plenty of super-elite private trackers that you’ll never get into (I can’t either), but how about a private one that you can?

It wouldn’t be April 1 without some sort of prank, right? Well I don’t have anything planned, but I encourage you to head over to Google to check out their home page. While you’re at it, check out Gmail too. I LOL’d.

This isn’t so much a how-to, as it is a tip for anyone running a website. One of the great things about open-source software such as Wordpress or Joomla, is that you can often find free plugins or themes for them. The danger here lies in hidden spam links (so-called “SEO” plugins are notorious for this) that are deep in the code – and unless you know where to look, you’re out of luck.
